Sandra Jones, CFP®, CIMA®

Financial Planner

The appeal of working with numbers and learning about investments led Sandra to the trust industry in the early 90’s when she joined Bank of America.  For many years after obtaining her CFP, her career emphasized investment management for affluent individuals, trusts and endowments with Perkins Coie Trust Company, Mellon Financial (now BNY Mellon), The Trust Company of Washington and Bank of America.  Over time, she found that she wanted to devote more of her energy toward helping clients with their overall financial picture.  In 2019, Sandra joined Goddard Financial Planning where she is helping individuals and families reach their financial and life goals.

Sandra enjoys learning the unique situations of her clients to help them develop short and long-term plans based on their goals and resources while managing for risk.  Sandra’s clients range in age.  She loves to encourage younger clients to develop good financial habits and use time to their advantage with saving and investing.  For clients in or near retirement, she enjoys the challenge of navigating through distribution decisions and providing guidance on spending and investing to ensure funds will last throughout their lifetime.

First job

Sandra’s first job was at a movie theatre as a cashier, selling tickets and concessions.  The perks included getting to watch free movies at midnight with an endless amount of popcorn.

Outside the office

Outside of work, Sandra likes staying active by running regularly and St. Edwards is one of her favorite places to hit the trail.  She continues to work on her golf game, a passion she shares with her husband and grown kids.  Yoga, listening to live music and boating & crabbing in the San Juans are among her favorite things to do.

She lives in Kenmore at the North end of Lake Washington and plans to occasionally commute by bike and even seaplane to avoid Seattle traffic.
